Ever heard of Bakersfield, CA? No? Good.
Well that’s where I’m from. People describe it as the small, armpit of California. It’s a place where chain restaurants rule and creativity is non-existent.
With the lack of creative venues (and the constant smell of cow manure) the town I called home, gave me the push to get out and start a career in design. For that, I will always have appreciation for my small town beginnings.
And here I am today. Living in the Bay Area, working as a product design leader, and continuously finding new ways to be creative.
